Orthopedics Murray
My practice focus is the surgical treatment of adolescent and young adult hip and knee problems. I completed my residency training in orthopedic surgery and I am dual fellowship trained in orthopedic sports medicine and hip preservation surgery. I completed my sports fellowship at the University of Connecticut and took care of many Division 1, high school and recreational athletes. My hip preservation fellowship was performed at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and concentrated on open and arthroscopic methods to address adolescent and young adult patient's hip pain. I treat acute sports injuries and overuse injuries in pediatric, adolescent and young adults. I have a particular interest in treating hip dysplasia, hip labral tears, hip impingement, residuals of pediatric hip disease and ligamentous, cartilage and meniscal injuries of the knee. I commonly evaluate patients for revision surgery that have continued problems after prior surgery. I have an interest and passion for research and have published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and presented research studies nationally and internationally. I grew up in Massachusetts playing ice hockey competitively. I now enjoy time with my family and outdoor activities including skiing and hiking. Ages Seen: 10-50 years old
