Dr. Theresa Kurtz is an addiction medicine and OBGYN physician at Intermountain Health’s OB/GYN Specialists at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. She supports patients in Murray, Millcreek, Holladay Cottonwood Heights, and Midvale, providing care in contraception, abnormal uterine bleedings, chronic pelvic pain, performing minimally invasive hysterectomy’s and more. Dr. Kurtz has a special clinical interest in caring for individuals with substance use disorder during pregnancy. Dr. Kurtz centers her practice in shared decision making. She feels privileged to offer empowerment and education to patients in order to aid in self-promotion of healthcare needs. Dr. Kurtz was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and completed her medical degree at the University of New Mexico where she graduated a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency and addiction medicine subspeciality fellowship at the University of Utah. Outside of medicine, her interests include reading, yoga, running, biking, cooking (mostly New Mexican food and curries), and camping with her husband and dog. She is delighted to be at Intermountain and hopes she can be a part of your care!
