Description

Greg Rowan, DPM, is a podiatrist at Intermountain Health’s Cottonwood Medical Clinic in Murray, Utah, and Lehi Clinic in Lehi, Utah. He supports patients in Salt Lake County and Utah County providing expertise on conditions that interfere with mobility, stability, and an active lifestyle. He’s particularly drawn to treating injuries and deformities that significantly limit a person’s ability to stay active. Many foot and ankle conditions take away the simple freedoms people value most — walking without pain, exercising, working comfortably, or participating in the activities that define their lifestyle — and he finds it rewarding to help patients regain those abilities. As a provider, Dr. Rowan’s approach to foot and ankle care begins with understanding what matters most to each patient. He’s also committed to educating patients, knowing the best decisions are made when they understand their condition and the full range of treatment options available. Dr. Rowan believes his role is not simply to diagnose and treat, but to explain the problem, outline realistic outcomes, and help patients choose the path that fits their needs and priorities. Dr. Rowan grew up in southeast Idaho and currently lives in Lehi. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. As a family they stay active together — especially mountain biking and skiing — and are enthusiastic BYU fans who enjoy attending games whenever they can. They also love travel and have had meaningful opportunities to participate in humanitarian service in Tonga. Conditions Treated:  Fracture care and post-traumatic reconstruction Nerve compression syndromes Foot and ankle deformity correction (bunions, flatfoot, cavus deformity, hammertoes) Foot and ankle fractures  Sports-related injuries and overuse conditions Overuse Injuries (Tendinitis, instability, plantar fasciitis) Diabetic foot, ulcers, and diabetic foot infections Ingrown toenails Procedures Performed:  Bunionectomy, both traditional open procedures and minimally invasive Flat foot reconstruction Hammer correction Repair of injuries to foot and ankle, ligaments and tendons Surgical management of foot and ankle fractures
