Madison K Bangert, MD, MPHTM, CTropMed®, is an infectious disease specialist who joined Intermountain Health in 2024 after completing fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Global & Rural Health. Her clinical interests are infectious diseases, including general ID, global health, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, medical education, and antimicrobial stewardship. In her education, Dr. Bangert graduated from the American University of the Caribbean (St. Maarten) in 2017 after completing her internal medicine training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Following residency, she completed her infectious disease training and a Master’s in Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM) at Tulane University. Given her interest in under-resourced populations and tropical medicine, she completed an additional fellowship training program at the University of Washington in Global & Rural Health, which took her to Pine Ridge, South Dakota, and Koidu, Sierra Leone (West Africa). Dr. Bangert enjoys hiking, running, and traveling in her free time.
