Peter Hu, MD, is a cardiologist at Intermountain Health's Intermountain Medical Center Cardiology in Murray, Utah and LDS Cardiology Clinic in Salt Lake City. He supports patients in Murray, Midvale, Sandy, Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, Millcreek, Sugar House, and surrounding communities. Dr. Hu specializes in general cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, interventional echocardiography, valvular heart disease, clinical cardiology and preventive cardiology. As a cardiologist, Dr. Hu enjoys developing relationships with his patients and partnering with them to provide the highest level of cardiac care. By fostering open communication and mutual trust, he strives to understand each patient's unique needs, concerns, and goals to partner in a collaborative treatment plan. Dr. Hu is board certified in cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography. He leads the PET/CT program at Intermountain Medical Center as the Medical Director of Cardiac Molecular Imaging. He completed his medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and further trained at Duke University Hospital for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the Cleveland Clinic.
